A suction excavator from MTS comes with everything you need for gentle root exposure. Its onboard compressor and supplied loosening tools, such as an air lance, gently break up even highly cohesive and compacted soil. With pickaxes, spades or even a conventional excavator, the risk of damaging or even cutting off the root is far too great.
Once loosened, the soil is extracted without any direct contact via a suction hose. Fine rinsing with water is not necessary and would only obstruct the view of the root system.
The extracted soil is sucked into the collecting container integrated in the suction excavator. This makes it easy to dispose of contaminated soil after exposing the roots. If the soil is to be used again for backfilling, it can be easily tipped out using the tipping mechanism.
This makes the suction excavator an environmentally friendly, fast and efficient solution for maintaining root systems and exposing roots for tree transplantation.
